FORT WORTH – TCU’s men’s tennis team made a significant leap in this week’s ITA team rankings, moving from 57th to 36th.
TCU has its highest ranking since the Feb. 3, 2009 edition of the rankings when the Horned Frogs checked in at 35th. The Frogs (9-4) have won two-straight matches and four of their last five, with the only loss coming to No. 12 Pepperdine.
“We are moving in the right direction,” TCU coach David Roditi said. “Our guys have been working hard and they know there is a lot of season left, including the Big 12 Conference matches.”
The Frogs are the fourth-highest ranked team in the loaded Big 12, coming in behind Oklahoma (No. 7), Texas (No. 14) and Baylor (No. 19). TCU is ahead of Texas Tech (No. 47) and Oklahoma State (No. 65).
TCU returns to action Thursday when it travels to Arizona to face the 54th-ranked Wildcats.
