TCU men's tennis set to host No. 42 SMU

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 56 TCU men's tennis team will look to snap a four-game losing streak on Wednesday, as they host No. 42 SMU at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center at 6 p.m.
TCU, currently 1-4 on the season, is coming off of a 7-0 loss to No. 4 Baylor, while SMU's (4-5) last action was a 4-1 loss to No. 21 VCU.
Over the last two matches, sophomore Kriegler Brink has highlighted play for the Frogs. Against No. 20 LSU, Brink recorded the only win for TCU with a straight sets 6-4, 6-3 victory over Colt Gaston. On Sunday, Brink notched the only set win in a tough 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-4 loss to Matt Brown of Baylor.
SMU features the No. 43 player in the nation in Alex Skrypko. Skrypko currently holds a 3-2 mark playing in No. 1 singles.
The Frogs and Mustangs have met 50 times dating back to 1974, with SMU holding a 26-24 advantage. The two teams last met a year ago in Dallas, as the Mustangs came out with a 4-3 victory. TCU has won five of the last seven meetings of the series.
