COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - TCU men's tennis senior Jacopo Tezza was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. Tezza is the second Horned Frog to receive the award in as many weeks. Junior Radu Barbu received the honor for the week of Feb. 20.

A senior from Verona, Italy, Tezza posted a 1-0 mark in singles play and a 1-1 record in doubles competition for Friday and Sunday as he helped the No. 23 Horned Frogs to a pair of victories. In a win over then No. 70 Denver, Tezza teamed with Kriegler Brink for a doubles victory over the Pioneers (8-8 [9-7]). In a win over then No. 13 LSU, Tezza defeated the Tigers' Paul White (6-2, 6-4).

Currently 6-1 on the season, the Frogs return to action on Saturday when they head to Tulsa, Okla., to battle the Golden Hurricanes.
