FORT WORTH – TCU’s men’s tennis team closes a four-match road trip Sunday when it travels to Rice. First serve is slated for 1:30 from Jake Hess Tennis Stadium in Houston.
The 68th-ranked Horned Frogs are 6-3 on the year and 2-1 on their current road trip with wins over Stanford and Oral Roberts. The No. 56 Owls are 2-5 and have dropped three-straight matches.
TCU and its former Southwest Conference foe Rice are meeting for the 44th time with TCU holding a 30-13 edge in the all-time series. The Owls, though, have claimed the last eight matchups, including a 4-3 win a year ago in Fort Worth.
Senior Orlando Superlano has been TCU’s top performer in singles this season, racking a 7-1 record. Arnau Dachs is 6-2 on the year, including a 5-2 mark at No. 2 singles. In doubles, Nick Chappell and Will Stein have led the Frogs with a 6-2 mark.
