FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's tennis team is among the top 75 programs in the nation, announced Monday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Only results from the fall season are considered and those who did not play in the fall are not considered for ranking.

TCU came in ranked No. 34 as a team, with three singles ranked in the top 125. No doubles teams from TCU were ranked.

The Frogs are facing a tough schedule ahead, with 13 of 20 teams on the schedule also ranked in the top 75. Opponents such as Baylor (No. 3), Stanford (No. 4), California (No. 10), Duke (No. 11), Texas A&M (No. 13), Pepperdine (No. 18), and Washington (No. 20) are among the top 20 programs the Fogs will take on later this season.

Among the 125 individuals ranked Monday were senior Toni Gordon (No. 48), junior Alex Menichini (No. 85) and sophomore Fabrizio Sestini (No. 104).

TCU will open the 2003 spring season with a trip to Houston to participate in the Rice Invitational Indoor January 16-19.

TCU opens home action against Texas A&M Corpus Christi January 24 at 9:00 a.m. and takes on Saint Louis later that day at 1:30 p.m.
