TCU Men's Tennis Team Ranked 17th to Start Season

FORT WORTH, Texas

The TCU men's tennis team will start the 2005 season ranked No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Poll released Tuesday. The Horned Frogs are coming off an 18-7 season that saw them reach the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2001. The Horned Frogs lost in the round of 16 to Clemson after upsetting Kentucky the previous round.

TCU opens the season at home Jan. 28 against No. 70 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1:30 p.m. CST. The match will be played on the Bernard J. "Tut" Bartzen Varsity Courts at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
