Sestini Moves into Quarterfinals at Midland Invitational

MIDLAND, Texas Junior Fabrizio Sestini of the TCU men's tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Midland Racquet Club Invitational Friday. The Rome, Italy, native dominated Eduardo Gutierrez of Tulsa in the opening round, 6-0, 6-1, and then dispatched Texas' Will Clinton in straight sets, 7-5, 6-4. Sestini, ranked No. 63 nationally, will square off with Jonathan Stokke of Duke tomorrow for a berth in the semis. Horned Frog sophomore Rafael Abreu also made the trip to Midland and suffered a heartbreaking three-set defeat to No. 99 Khaled El dorry of Texas A&M, 7-6(9), 3-6, 6-4. The match lasted nearly four hours before a winner was determined. Abreu struck back with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph in the consolation draw versus Andy Mack of Texas. Abreu and Sestini will team up for doubles tomorrow. The pair is seeded No. 2 and received a bye for Friday's first round. FRIDAY'S RESULTS
