Tezza Continues to Roll at Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. TCU Horned Frog sophomore Jacopo Tezza won his fifth-straight match at the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships Tuesday at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tenn. The sophomore from Verona, Italy, downed Wisconsin's Alex Kasarov in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4, in the round of 64 to advance. Next up for Tezza is 69th-ranked Thomas Schoeck of Boise State tomorrow at 8 a.m. CDT. The winner will earn the right to compete in the main draw of the event, which begins Oct. 9. TCU senior and 47th-rated Alex Menichini is already in the draw. Tezza's fellow countryman Fabrizio Sestini, ranked No. 63 nationally, also took part in the qualifying round of the tourney. The junior fell in straight sets to No. 99 Vlad Obradovic of Florida, 6-1, 6-0. TUESDAY'S RESULTS
