FORT WORTH, Texas - Conference USA announced athlete of the week honors Tuesday, naming TCU senior Toni Gordon and Joe Schmulian of Memphis as co-recipients of the weekly award.

Gordon is 12-7 overall this season and owns a career mark of 85-35 over his four years at TCU. He and doubles partner Fabrizio Sestini (sophomore, Rome, Italy) defeated the SMU tandem of Eric Cohn and Ryan Mauck, 8-6, to help the Horned Frogs capture the doubles point on April 12.

Gordon then upset Johan Brunstrom (SMU), ranked 72nd in the nation, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 2 singles.

TCU is seeded second for the C-USA Conference Championship, which will begin April 16 in Madison, Wisc. TCU plays their first match on April 17 at 9:00 a.m.
