TCU sweeps Air Force, 7-0

FORT WORTH, Texas - After a 10-day layoff, the TCU men's tennis team returned on Friday to blank Air Force 7-0 at the Friedman Tennis Center's indoor courts. The match was initially delayed 45 minutes due to weather conditions in the area.
"The players played well tonight, and we just need to keep enjoying the moment," said TCU head coach Dave Borelli. "We just have to go out and play well and I think good things will happen for us."
The win improved TCU to 7-11 overalll and 3-1 in Mountain West Conference play, while dropping Air Force to 11-13 on the season and 0-4 in conference action.
Radu Barbu and Christopher Biro teamed up for the first time this season as they cruised past Air Force's Brett Rodgers and Austin Francis, 8-3. The No. 36 duo of Kriegler Brink and Cosmin Cotet followed with an 8-6 victory over Robby Alexander and Ryan White to clinch the doubles point for the Frogs.
The TCU duo of Andrew Ulrich and Caleb Bulls completed the sweep with a 9-8(3) victory over Keith Cronican and James Tomlin at the No. 3 position.
Barbu notched his eighth singles victory in the last nine matches with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat of Cronican at the No. 3 slot. Biro followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Rodgers. The victory was also Biro's eighth win in the last nine contests.
With the Frogs up 3-0, Brink clinched the match as the sophomore knocked off White at the No. 4 slot, 6-2, 6-3.
No. 109 Cotet immediately followed with a 6-1, 6-4 defeat of Alexander at the No. 1 position. Stuart Row and Ulrich would also go on to notch victories over their Air Force opponents.
The Frogs will return to the courts at 6 p.m. CT tomorrow to host UNLV. Live stats will be available at www.gofrogs.com.
