FORT WORTH, Texas - "Cross town rivalry" has always been the phrase to describe competition between TCU and SMU, but tomorrow, when the Frogs travel to Dallas to take on the Mustang men's tennis team, both teams will show up expecting to win.

TCU is ranked 37th by the Omni Hotels/ITA rankings, with SMU biting at their heels ranked at No. 40. The Frogs are coming off a big win over No. 30 Louisville at the C-USA Shootout, the Mustangs are coming off a loss to No. 19 Virginia Commonwealth.

TCU sophomore Fabrizio Sestini is ranked 75th individually, while SMU's Johan Brunstrom is ranked 48th followed by Gwinyai Chingoka at No. 54.

The Frogs are 7-3 (0.700) overall, SMU is 5-4 (0.555) and the Frogs are on a three-match winning streak.

Freshman Jacopo Tezza is 9-1 and has not lost a singles match since February 1, a six match winning streak. Freshman Rafael Abreu is 10-3 and senior Toni Gordon (7-2) is playing strong on a three match win streak.

Last year, the Frogs (then ranked No. 17) opened the season at then ranked No. 8 SMU with a 3-4 loss. This year, the Frogs plan to avenge that loss and re-claim the bragging rights of that "cross town rivalry".

The Frogs will take on the Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. at SMU's Haggar Tennis Stadium.
