The No. 13 TCU men's tennis team remained unbeaten Sunday afternoon, defeating Colorado by a 5-2 count on the Tut Bartzen Varsity Tennis Courts at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Purple and White is 3-0 heading into its clash with ninth-rated Texas A&M Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at the Friedman Tennis Center. Colorado dropped to 4-2 with the loss.

TCU found itself in some heated matches at one and two doubles after Jacob Martin and Alex Menichini snagged an easy 8-2 win at the No. 3 slot against Marek Dvorak and Peter Bjork. Finally, No. 19 Fabrizio Sestini and Rafael Abreu took out Chad Tsuda and Marcos Digliodo, 9-7, at the top spot to secure the 1-0 lead. Hector Almada and Jacopo Tezza added some insurance, beating Marko Bundalo and Evan Dixon by the same score at two.

Martin claimed a quick straight-set match against Elliot Quibell at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1, to put TCU ahead 2-0 and push his dual match record on the year to 2-0. Tezza put the Frogs within a point of clinching the match when he defeated Tsuda in straight sets at four singles, 6-1, 6-1. It pushed his dual slate to 3-0 this season.

Dvorak kept the Buffaloes' hopes of coming back alive when he registered a 6-4, 6-1 decision at the No. 5 hole against Abreu. Sestini, ranked 75th, provided the clincher for the Purple and White a two with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Digliodo. The Rome, Italy, native is still unbeaten this season (3-0) at No. 2 and has yet to lose a set. Menichini also to 3-0 at his position, one singles, with a 6-4, 6-1 conquest of Bundalo to give TCU its final point of the afternoon.

Colorado also picked up a win by default at three singles, where Almada and Bjork were battling. Bjork won the first set and was up 3-2 in the second when the match was called. It occurred after Almada crossed over to the other side of the court to discuss a line call with Bjork that was made following a rally. USTA rules forbid a player from intentionally crossing onto his/her opponent's side of the court during a game.
