SENIOR (FALL 2005): Finished the fall slate with a 2-4 record in singles play...Suffered a tough loss to No. 88 Peter Rodriques of Duke on Oct. 14...held the No. 34 ranking in doubles play with teammate Rafael Abreu...The duo finished with a record of 4-3 during the fall slate...Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA south central regional championships, knocking off the team of John Nallon and Marcus Lunt of Texas A&M along the way...Will begin the spring season with a No. 5 doubles ranking in the south central region...The Verona, Italy, product also garners the No. 20 ranking in the region.
JUNIOR (2004-05): Finished the spring with a record of 11-18...started the spring winning three of his first four matches...competed as high as the No. 2 position...Split doubles time with Radu Barbu and Jordan Freitas, posting an overall record of 13-12...Played a tight match versus No. 59 Jonas Berg and Ivor Lovrak of Pepperdine (8-4) on Mar. 12...Posted an impressive win over Gwinyai Chingoka and David Kuczer of SMU on April 13...Was one of the more active Horned Frogs during the fall...Notched a 6-4 record in singles and was 3-3 in doubles playing exclusively with Jordan Freitas...Had the best showing of any Frog at the Wilson/ITA South Central Regional Championships in Austin, Texas, over Oct. 22-25...Won three matches to reach the quarterfinals, ousting players from Texas-Arlington, Rice and Texas along the way...He and Freitas won their first match at the regional, but lost in the second round to Lars Poerschke and Matija Zgaga from Baylor.
SOPHOMORE (2003-04): Finished his sophomore campaign as the team leader in wins thanks to a 26-10 record...Went 16-5 in dual matches and was 16-4 at No. 4 singles...Registered a 17-13 slate in doubles action, playing primarily with Hector Almada...Was 15-7 in duals with Almada and 14-5 at the No. 2 slot...His final fall record stood at 10-5, making him TCU's winningest player...Went 2-6 in doubles play with Robert Gallman, Jacob Martin and Daniel Scholten...Made a run at the main draw of the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships by winning five matches between the pre-qualifying and qualifying rounds...Was a member of the Conference USA Third Team and the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or above)...Opened the dual match season impressively Jan. 24 against No. 68 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi by defeating David Plasencia in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, at four singles...Versus No. 9 Texas A&M Feb. 18 Tezza defeated Khaled El Dorry at the No. 4 hole, 6-2, 6-2...Got an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles with Almada Feb. 22 versus No. 36 Florida State...Did not have much trouble registering another win at two doubles by defeating Evan Fowler and Clinton Jacobs from No. 51 South Alabama Feb. 24, 8-5...Was critical to TCU's win against No. 49 SMU March 4...Clinched a 4-2 victory for TCU versus No. 28 Washington at the ASU Quad March 7 by defeating Christoph Palmanshofer, 7-6, 6-3...Secured the doubles point the next day with Almada with an 8-5 stunner over No. 16 Scott Doerner and Alexandre Herrera from No. 18 Pepperdine...After helping TCU defeat SMU, Washington and Pepperdine, Tezza was named C-USA Men's Tennis Player of the Week, becoming the third Horned Frog to win the weekly accolade that spring...Entered the doubles rankings for the first time in his career with Almada at No. 21 March 9...After sustaining a minor groin injury, came back from his injury to win 9-8 at No. 1 doubles against Guillaume Bouvier and Thomas Schoek from No. 33 Boise State March 20...Fell at one doubles March 25 to the nation's No. 4-ranked combo of twin brothers Richard and William Barker of No. 6 Rice by an 8-5 tally...Got an 8-1 doubles win over Darrin Cohen and Doug Stewart from No. 12 Virginia April 4 in Charlottesville, Va...Grabbed a 9-7 decision in his favor from Gwinyai Chingoka and Paul McNaughton from No. 48 SMU April 11 in Dallas...Helped clinch the doubles point for TCU by defeating Jakob Gustafsson and Damar Johnson from No. 36 Louisville April 17 in the semifinals of the C-USA Championship by an 8-5 score...Recorded an 8-4 victory in doubles against Alberto Sottocorno and Goran Vasiljevic from No. 18 Tulane in the C-USA title match...Made short work of Diego Iglesias and Moises Serrano from No. 67 East Tennessee State May 15, winning 8-2 in round one of the NCAA Tournament...Cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 conquest of Fernando Fiuri at four singles to put the Horned Frogs within one point of winning the match...Defeated Evan Austin and Alex Hume from No. 11 Kentucky, 9-7, in the second round the next day to clinch the doubles.
FRESHMAN (SPRING 2003): Finished the year 17-4...Saw action at Nos. 3-6 singles...Was 7-3 at four singles, 5-1 at five and a perfect 4-0 at No. 6 singles...Beat the first ranked opponent of his career in No. 86 Reiner Neurohr of Baylor April 2, 6-7, 6-1, (10-5)...Helped TCU advance to the conference championship by defeating Andres Maroldt of South Florida, 7-6, 6-3, at the fourth position...Chalked up one of the Horned Frogs' points in the title bout with Tulane the next day, defeating Mattias Westerberg, 6-4, 6-2.
HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR: Formerly a top five singles competitor among the Italian junior ranks...Held an ATP Tour ranking at one point.
