SENIOR (FALL 2005): Craig Stopa finished the 2005 fall season with a 4-6 record in singles play...Competed in the Bose International Indoor Tennis Championships on Nov. 2...Advanced to the second round with a convincing victory over Marcus Fonseca (6-1, 6-2)...Finished with a strong 9-3 record in doubles play...Played in 12 doubles matches with junior Andrew Ulrich...Tallied three wins at the Collins Open (Oct. 7-8)...Knocked off the team of Steven Campbell and Patrick Painter (8-5) of the University of Texas-Tyler in round one...Paired with Ulrich in the Bose Championships...The duo posted back-to-back straight-set victories on their way to the semifinals.

JUNIOR (2004-05): Finished the spring campaign 0-4...Went 0-4 in the fall in singles and 0-2 in doubles with Collin Hart and Andrew Ulrich...Played in the Baylor Intercollegiate in Waco, Texas, and the Wilson/ITA South Central Regional Championships...Lost to Oliver Steil from Texas-Pan American in the first round of the Baylor tourney in straight sets, 7-6, 6-1...Fell to Felipe Acosta of Texas-Arlington in the backdraw, 6-4, 7-5...He and Hart were upended by North Carolina State's Nick Cavaday and Conor Taylor in doubles, 8-3...Lost a tough three-setter with Andy Narido of Prairie View A&M Oct. 22 in the first round of the regional...Shaun Ellison from Louisiana-Lafayette bounced Stopa from the tournament for good by scores of 6-2, 6-1...UTA's Josey Trimmier and Ian Vazquez downed Stopa and Ulrich by a 9-8 count in doubles at the regional.

SOPHOMORE (2003-04): After sitting out his first year as a redshirt, Stopa saw his first action in a purple-clad uniform Sept. 26 at the Baylor Intercollegiate...Lost to Zachary Rath of Georgia Tech in the opening round, 6-2, 6-1...Just missed picking up his initial career victory in the consolation round that followed, losing to Lamar's Naeem Kath, 6-7, 6-4, 6-2...Dropped his next two matches at the Texas-Arlington Invitational Oct. 3 versus Kyle Mims (UTA) and Gary Bianco (Texas-Pan American) by match scores of 6-4, 6-3 and 7-6, 6-3...Snatched his first career win the following day by disposing of Wes Hudnall of Wichita State in straight sets, 6-4, 7-5...After losing his round of 128 match with Bryan Wooten of Texas A&M at the ITA South Central Regional Championships Oct. 24, Stopa grabbed his second victory of the fall with a 6-4, 6-3 decision over Jonathan Capps of Lamar in the consolation draw...A&M's Alex Strohm took out Stopa later that day, 6-0, 7-6...The Texas A&M Invitational represented Stopa's final tourney of the fall...He was stopped by LSUer Colt Gaston in his first match, 6-0, 6-2, while A&M's Zack Malmgren handed him a 6-0, 6-3 loss...Stopa's final fall record was set at 2-8...His doubles record was 1-6, partnering exclusively with classmate and fellow redshirt Collin Hart...Their lone victory came against Paulson and Vickers from Texas Tech, 8-6, at the ITA Regional Oct. 25...Stopa and Hart gave two teams from Texas all they could handle at the regional as well...They fell by counts of 9-7 and 9-8 to Synder/Tobias and Clinton/Mack...Did not compete in the spring...Was named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.0 GPA or above) for a second straight year...Earned an Academic Medal from the league as well for having at least a 3.75 GPA...Was also an ITA All-Academic Team member for having over a 3.5 GPA.

FRESHMAN (2002-03): Redshirted as a true freshman...Had above a 3.0 GPA to earn a spot on the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

HIGH SCHOOL/JUNIOR: Picked up four varsity letters at Jesuit High School playing for head coach Mitch Chapoton...Helped his team win four state championships in a row...Reached the state final in doubles his senior year...Snared two letters in track and field as well.

PERSONAL: Stopa is studying chemistry at TCU...Has two older brothers, Erik, 24, and Jason, 23...Craig Joseph Stopa, the son of Lou and Gina Stopa, was born Nov. 1, 1983.
