FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU mens and womens swimming teams received the Academic All-America Team Award, presented by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the spring 2000 semester, head swim coach Richard Sybesma announced.

"We are thrilled to receive this award for both our mens and womens teams," said Sybesma. "This is the 16th consecutive semester in which the womens team has been honored, and the fourth time the men have received this award."

To qualify for this honor, the grade point average of the entire swimming and diving squad, including all team members on the eligibility list, must average at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. The TCU women posted combined GPA of 2.946, while the men tallied a combined GPA of 2.8241.
