Horned Frog golfers concluded summer tournament circuit

The TCU men's golf program concluded its summer tournament circuit as three members of the Purple and White competed at the U.S. Amateur Championships in Pinehurst, N.C., while another Horned Frog earned his third silver medal of the summer.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, North Dakota | Fargo South High School)
The Fargo, N.D., talent earned a pair of victories during the summer as he collected gold medals at the U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier at the Wildflower Golf Course in Detroit Lakes, Minn., to go along with a title at the North Dakota Match Play.
Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal High School)
This summer - Woolf earned a top-10 finish at the North & South Amateur held at the Pinehurst No. 2 and No. 4 Golf Courses where he advanced to the Round of 32. He also added a 38th-place finish at the Southern Amateur Championships in Orlando, Fla., after recording a one-over-par score of 289 (70-73-71-75).
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville High School)
The most-traveled member of the TCU men's golf team this past summer - Sacheck competed at the British Amateur in South Ayrshire, Scotland, in addition to the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C., Southern Amateur Championships in Orlando, Fla. and Western Amateur Championships in Benton Harbor, Mich.
Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin High School) One of the busiest golfers for the Frogs has been senior Scott Roudebush as he earned his third silver medal of the summer. Roudebush finished second overall at the Austin Men's City Championships at the same course where he earned runner-up honors at the Firecracker Open earlier this summer. Over the course of two events - the TCU senior shot a combined 16-under-par for seven rounds during the back-to-back local major championships. Roudebush earned four top-five finishes this summer season as the Austin, Texas, native posted a second-place showing at the Austin Men's City Championships, Firecracker Open and Western Amateur Championships to go along with a third-place finish at the CPT Blackhorse.
