FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head coach Bill Montigel has officially announced that Metroplex product Clark Mitzner has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Horned Frog men's golf team beginning in the Fall of 2006.

Mitzner, who hails from McKinney, Texas, is a standout prep golfer at McKinney High School. The Lions, who begin play in the Class 4A state tournament next week, were the District 9-4A champions this spring. Mitzner's McKinney golf team took second last year at the state tournament in Austin.

The senior claimed his first two career titles this fall at the Lion/Bulldog Invitational and the Highland Park Invitational. He opened the fall by leading the team with a fourth-place finish at Pecan Valley and also had a team-best seventh-place showing at the Roy Kizer.

Mitzner joins Fort Worth Paschal's Travis Woolf, who inked in the fall, in the 2006 signing class.
