Horned Frogs Sit In Fourth at Boilermaker Invitational
April 10, 2004 WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - TCU resides in fourth place among 18 teams through the first two of three rounds at the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. The 10th-ranked Horned Frogs' two-round score of 578 (+2) is 16 strokes behind host school and tourney leader Purdue (562) and seven behind second-place Kentucky. Junior J.J. Killeen is tied for sixth individually after rounds of 70 and 71. His three-under score of 141 has him in position to secure his third career-top 10 finish and second this season. Killeen was the lone Frog to break par in both of Saturday's rounds. Senior Adam Meyer is also in contention after posting a 36-hole score of 143 (-1), which included a team-best round of 69 on the second 18 holes. Meyer is searching for his ninth top-20 finish of the season and his seventh in the last eight tournaments. One stroke behind Meyer is junior David Schultz, who had an even-par 144, is tied for 19th place. Sophomore Colby Beckstrom has a share of 50th place after a six-over 150, while senior Stephen Polanski ranks tied for 84th after a 159 (+15). The Horned Frogs will begin final-round play on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. It is the final tune-up for TCU prior to the Conference USA Championship, which will be held April 19-21 in Dade City, Fla.
