WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - The TCU men's golf team, playing in its first event of the spring season, is tied for 14th among 18 teams at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate. The Horned Frogs shot a 2-over-par 282 Wednesday to sit 14 strokes behind tournament leader Stanford (268).

Travis Woolf, a true freshman and Fort Worth native playing in his first career tournament, tied for the team's best round of the day with a 1-under 69. He is tied with sophomore Jesse Speirs for 34th place among the 94 participants.

Junior Frankling Corpening and sophomore Robby Ormand netted 2-over scores of 72, while sophomore Jon McLean carded a 73 (+3).

The Frogs continue the tournament at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course (par 70, 6,738 yards) on Thursday. The final round of the 54-hole event will take place Friday.
