Horned Frogs move up one spot at UH Hilo Intercollegiate

The TCU men's golf program moved up one spot at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate as the Horned Frogs finished the second day of competition in 11th place at the Waikoloa Village Course in Waikoloa, Hawaii, on Thursday. Robby Ormand (Austin, Texas/James Bowie H.S.) produced the best second round score of the afternoon for the Purple and White as the TCU junior fired a 65 en route to tying for 18th overall with a two-round tally of 138 (73-65). James Sacheck (Zionsville, Ind./Zionsville H.S.) and Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas/Paschal H.S.) were both tied for 31st overall as they finished the day with a 36-hole score of 140. Sacheck has posted back-to-back rounds of 70 while Woolf notched a 69 in the first day of competition followed by a 70 on the second set of 18 holes this afternoon. Franklin Corpening (Fort Worth, Texas/Paschal H.S.) was tied for 43rd overall with a tournament score of 141 (72-69) after the TCU senior scored a 69 on the second day of action, and Jordan Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas/Arlington H.S.) collected his second consecutive day of 73 en route to tying for 78th overall with a 36-hole score of 146 (73-73). Stanford currently holds the team lead at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate with a two-round score of 538 while Arizona State (543), USC (544), Texas Tech (546) and Georgia Tech (547) round out the top-five. The third and final round of competition at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate will wrap-up on Friday (Feb. 8) at the Waikoloa Village Course.
