Frogs Tied for Eighth Overall at UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament

The TCU men's golf program concluded the second round of action in eighth place at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament on Thursday (Feb. 5) at the Mauna Lani Resort - North Course.
The Horned Frogs finished the second round of action with a team score of 297 en route to recording a two-day tally of 588 (291-297). USC held the two-round score of 569 while Washington (573), Colorado (584), Stanford (585) and Texas Tech (585) rounded out the top five.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South High School) finished the afternoon in 13th place with a two-round score of 145 (70-75) after firing a 75 in the second set of 18 holes.
Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys High School) finished a stroke back of his teammate with a score of 146 (73-73) after firing his second consecutive score of 73 en route to tying for 19th overall. Alexander Knappe (Brilon, Germany | Berufs High School) followed up a 72 in the first round with a 76 on the second day action and a tournament tally of 148 (72-76) and a 26th-place showing.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville High School) concluded the day tied for 42nd overall with a 36-hole score of 151 (76-75) while teammate Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal High School) is tied for 53rd overall with a tournament tally of 153 (79-74) after firing a 74 on the second day of action.
The third round of action at the UH Hilo Intercollegiate Tournament will be held on Friday (Feb. 6) at the Mauna Lani Resort - North Course.
