Julien Brun already has left a significant imprint on TCU golf in only one season with the program, recording the top individual campaign ever by a Horned Frog golfer as a freshman ... was named a PING First-Team All-American by the Golf Coaches Association of America, becoming only the third TCU golfer ever to receive the honor and the first freshman ... earned reserve medalist honors at the 2012 NCAA Championship by tying for second place with a final score of -2 at The Riviera Golf Club, matching the best NCAA finish in TCU history ... finished the season ranked No. 8 according to both Golfstat and the Golfweek/Sagarin national rating system ... was No. 5 nationally in individual stroke average (70.51) and No. 2 in average score versus par (-1.03) ... both figures set individual TCU season records, along with his marks for victories (three), top-5 finishes (eight; tied Alberto Ochoa, 1996-97, and J.J. Brun arrived at TCU as a high-impact recruit from Antibes, France, who made a strong name for himself on the international amateur circuit ... arrived TCU with a world amateur ranking of No. 63 and was the top-rated amateur in France ... won an individual championship in late March 2011 at the European Nations tournament in Sotogrande, Spain, where he carded a final-round 67 to post a three-stroke victory ... followed up his European Nations title by tying for second place in the Lytham Trophy at Royal Lytham and St. Annes Golf Club in Lancashire, England in April 2011 ... finished five shots off the pace during severely adverse conditions that saw the tournament champion finish at +19 ... also traveled away from his home continent several times as a junior ... played once on American soil in December 2010, finishing third at the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship in Coral Gables, Fla. ... concluded the month of February 2011 playing at the South African Amateur Stroke Play Championship in Mount Edgecombe, South Africa, tying for 21st place.
