ABOUT THE GAME
*TCU hosts Texas on Saturday in a 6:30 p.m. sold-out contest on FOX Sports 1.
*Texas is playing at TCU for the first time since 1994, when both schools were in the Southwest Conference.
*Saturday marks the Horned Frogs' 15th sellout in their last 18 home games. TCU is playing its second season in Amon G. Carter Stadium after its $164 million rebuild.
*TCU's Gary Patterson is 1-1 as a head coach versus Texas with both games in Austin. The Horned Frogs won 20-13 last season after dropping a 34-13 decision in 2007.
*TCU is 27-8 in regular-season games following a loss under Patterson.
*TCU is 3-0 at home this season.
*The Horned Frogs are playing at night for the first time in four home games this season. TCU had 11 a.m. kickoffs in its first three home dates in 2013.
*TCU is 25-14 versus former Southwest Conference foes, including a 6-5 mark against current Big 12 rivals.
*Saturday marks the 84th meeting between TCU and Texas. The Longhorns hold a 61-21-1 advantage in a series that began with an 18-10 Texas win in 1897.
*TCU is 9-27-0 versus Texas in Fort Worth and 12-34-1 in Austin.
*Last year's 20-13 TCU win at Texas marked the 600th victory in the Horned Frogs' football history. It also snapped a four-game Longhorns' winning streak in the series.
*The Horned Frogs' last victory over the Longhorns in Fort Worth was a 23-14 decision in 1992.
*Texas is TCU's fourth-most played series. The Horned Frogs' 83 games with the Longhorns trail only Baylor (108), SMU (93) and Texas A&M (92).
*One of the more memorable wins in TCU football history was a 6-0 victory at No. 1 Texas on Nov. 8, 1961.
*The lone score in the game was a second-quarter touchdown pass from quarterback Sonny Gibbs to Buddy Iles. Gibbs handed the ball to halfback Larry Thomas, who tossed it back to Gibbs who then found Iles downfield for the score.
