FORT WORTH, Texas -- As the TCU football team continues its preparation for the Aug. 30 season opener at New Mexico, the tight end position is in the spotlight as GoFrogs.com continues its preview look at the 2008 Horned Frogs.

Returning starter Shae Reagan (6-4, 261, Sr.) is a big-play weapon and one of the top tight ends in the Mountain West Conference.

The former TCU quarterback ranks third on the Frogs' career list for average yards per reception at 19.7. Hampered by injury last season, Reagan had 11 catches for 193 yards and a team-best 17.5 average. He closed the campaign with a career-high three grabs in the Texas Bowl win over Houston.

Evan Frosch (6-4, 235, So.) started three games in 2007 with all five of his receptions coming in TCU victories. He entered fall camp in a second-team position behind Reagan.

Logan Brock (6-3, 230, RFr.) will push for playing time after redshirting last season.

The 2008 recruiting class included newcomers Walker Dille (6-3, 217, Fr.) from Sugar Land, Texas, as well as Corey Fuller (6-5, 219, Fr.) of La Vernia, Texas.

BY THE NUMBERS:

5 - All five of Evan Frosch's receptions last season came in TCU victories

12 - Touchdown catches by Corey Fuller as a senior at La Vernia (Texas) High School

17 - Shae Reagan's first 17 collegiate receptions resulted in first downs

23 - Receptions by TCU tight ends (Reagan 11, Quinton Cunigan 7, Frosch 5) last season

35 - Reagan had four grabs of at least 35 yards in the 2006 campaign
