2008 Gridiron Camp Preview: Cornerbacks

FORT WORTH, Texas -- As the TCU football team began two-a-day practices Saturday, GoFrogs.com continues its preseason preview of the Horned Frogs with a look at the cornerbacks. Rafael Priest (5-10, 163, Jr.) and Nick Sanders (5-10, 174, Jr.) have started all 26 games the last two seasons and will be in their third year playing alongside each other. Priest was an honorable-mention All-Mountain West Conference selection in 2007. He ranked among the league leaders with 13 passes defended, including a team-best 10 break-ups. The Dallas native tied for the TCU lead with three interceptions. Sanders, an honorable-mention Freshman All-American in 2006, totaled 39 tackles to go with four PBUs and an interception. Alex Ibiloye (6-0, 170, So.) and Greg McCoy (5-10, 172, RFr.) will compete for playing time while also adding depth. Ibiloye lettered in a reserve role last season while also contributing on special teams. McCoy was a redshirt in his first season on campus. He has a very promising future at TCU. Newcomer and Tyler Junior College transfer Jason Teague (6-2, 185, Jr.) also figures into the mix. BY THE NUMBERS:
