FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football team's Sept. 12 season opener at Virginia will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. Eastern and be televised on ESPNU.

The Horned Frogs and Cavaliers will meet for just the second time in their history. The first game between the teams was a 20-10 Virginia victory in the 1994 Independence Bowl.

Virginia will play at TCU in 2012.

The Cavaliers represent the first of two ACC opponents for TCU this season. The Horned Frogs travel to Clemson on Sept. 26. Prior to this upcoming campaign, TCU had not faced an ACC opponent since 1997 when it played North Carolina.

TCU will appear on ESPNU for the first time since a 2006 victory at Army.
