Manfredini named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Former TCU placekicker Chris Manfredini has been honored by the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame as a member of the 2008 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have been a starter or significant reserve in their last year of eligibility, achieve a 3.2 cumulative grade point average throughout their entire course of undergraduate study and meet all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements. Manfredini, who played as a graduate student in the 2007 campaign, was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference selection. He earned his Bachelor's degree in supply and value chain management. A native of Colleyville, Texas, Manfredini was 22-of-27 on field goals and 37-of-37 on extra-point attempts last season. The 22 field goals placed fourth on the Frogs' single-season chart. He made his last 12 attempts as well as his final 39 PATs dating back to 2006. In just three seasons as a Frog, after playing his freshman year at Cincinnati, Manfredini was 47-of-54 on field goals to rank third on TCU's career list for made attempts. The Frogs were represented on last year's NFF Honor Society squad by tight ends Chad Andrus and Brent Hecht.
