FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football program has announced the signing of 6-foot-2, 190-pound cornerback Jason Teague to a National Letter of Intent.

Teague played the last two seasons at Tyler (Texas) Junior College, where he was ranked by Rivals.com as the 53rd-best JC player in the nation. He originally signed with LSU.

As a senior at Carthage (Texas) High School, Teague was named the State 3-A Defensive Most Valuable Player. Rivals tabbed him as the 30th-best cornerback in the nation and the 65th-best player in the state of Texas.

Teague had eight interceptions and blocked five punts in being named All-State his senior year. He also totaled 15 touchdowns as a running back and wide receiver.

As a junior, Teague was an all-district selection. He totaled three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Teague rushed for 432 yards and six touchdowns on a 6.6 per carry average. He was utilized at running back, receiver, safety and on special teams.
