FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football program has announced a change in the start date for its spring practice.

The Horned Frogs will begin on March 23 instead of March 4. The new end date is April 15. The Spring Game and team banquet will remain on April 10. As part of the evening's festivities at the banquet, to be held in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum, the Bobby Dodd Foundation will present Gary Patterson with its Bobby Dodd Award as the 2009 National Coach of the Year.

TCU returns 16 of 22 starters from its 2009 squad which posted a 12-1 record and its first BCS appearance with a trip to the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.

The Horned Frogs finished sixth in season-ending polls by the Associated Press and USA Today. It was TCU's third top-10 ranking in the last five years.
