FORT WORTH, Texas -- Twenty-three TCU football players garnered postseason accolades in 2009, including seven All-Americans, while head coach Gary Patterson received nine National Coach of the Year honors.

In defensive end Jerry Hughes, center Jake Kirkpatrick and linebacker Daryl Washington, TCU had three first-team All-Americans for the first time since 1938 (quarterback Davey O'Brien, center Ki Aldrich, tackle I.B. Hale).

Hughes, just the second two-time consensus All-American in TCU history (Darrell Lester, 1934-35), won the Lott Trophy and Ted Hendricks Award.
