Team Notes
*TCU has won four straight bowl games for the first time in its history. The Horned Frogs improved to 11-12-1 all-time in bowls.

*TCU (11-2) has reached 11 wins for the third time in four seasons and fourth time in six years.

*TCU's seniors posted a 41-10 record over the last four seasons. It's the most victories in a four-year period in school history, breaking a tie with the 1932-35 stretch. With freshmen not eligible in the 1930s, this year's seniors leave as the winningest class in school history.

*Boise State represented TCU's fourth undefeated top-10 opponent of the season. The Frogs went 2-2 in those games.

*TCU is now 5-3 in bowl games under head coach Gary Patterson and 7-3 overall in bowl games with him on staff. Patterson was TCU's defensive coordinator from 1998-00.

*The Frogs improved to 52-1 under Patterson when allowing 17 points or less.

*With regular-season victories in 2005 and 2007 over San Diego State along with Poinsettia Bowl wins in 2006 and 2008, TCU has posted a victory in four consecutive years at Qualcomm Stadium.

*TCU's 275 yards rushing represented its third-best total of the season.

*The Poinsettia Bowl marked the first time this season that TCU failed to score on either its first or second possession of the game.

*Other than the Oklahoma game, TCU faced its largest deficit (13-0) in a game this season.

*For just the second time in 2008, a TCU opponent scored on its opening two possessions. The other was Oklahoma.

*A 30-yard field goal by Boise State's Kyle Brotzman marked only the third time this season that an opponent scored first on TCU.

Individual Notes
*Senior safety Stephen Hodge was named the Poinsettia Bowl's Defensive Most Valuable Player after totaling 11 tackles, including three for loss with one sack. He also recorded his first career interception with 1:47 left in the game to preserve the victory.

*Sophomore quarterback Andy Dalton was the Offensive MVP. He completed 22-of-35 passes for 197 yards while adding 74 yards rushing on 16 carries. Dalton was also the MVP in last year's 20-13 Texas Bowl victory over Houston.

*Consensus All-America defensive end Jerry Hughes, the nation's sack leader with 15, had a key sack with just over four minutes to play on a third-and-eight at the TCU 12. It forced a Boise State field goal that allowed TCU to maintain a 17-16 lead.

*Tonight represented Gary Patterson's 100th game as TCU's head coach. He is now 73-27, leaving him one win shy of tying Abe Martin (74, 1953-66) for second place on the Frogs' career victory list.

*Joseph Turner's 17-yard fourth-quarter scoring run was his team-high 11th rushing touchdown of the season.

*Aaron Brown rushed for team-high 102 yards on 14 carries. It was his second 100-yard game in the last three contests and the seventh 100-yard effort of his career. TCU is 6-1 in those contests.

*With 102 yards on the ground, Brown finished his career with 2,596 yards rushing to rank 10th on the Frogs' career list.

*Jimmy Young had five receptions for 62 yards. He closed the season just 12 yards shy of becoming only the second 1,000-yard receiver in TCU history. Young totaled 59 receptions for 988 yards. It's the second-best receiving yard total at TCU, behind only Reggie Harrell's 1,012 in 2003.

*Ryan Christian tied a career-high with six catches for 53 yards.

*Ross Evans' 32-yard third-quarter field goal made him 16-of-20 on the season.
