Great competitor who is well-respected on the team... entrenched himself into the starting job during spring ball... gained confidence and improved play throughout spring practice... is 1-1 in two career starts.

2001: Saw action in five games in 2001, completing 48-of-76 passes (63.2 percent) for 545 yards and three touchdowns... saw limited action during the season's first six games... replaced an injured Casey Printers in the second quarter at Tulane... completed 15 of 32 passes for 158 yards but was intercepted three times...made his first collegiate start the following week vs. Army... completed 21 of 29 passes without an interception for 273 yards and three touchdowns... the 273-yard passing day was the high mark for a TCU quarterback since Max Knake riddled the Kansas defense for 391 yards on September 14, 1995... his efforts earned him Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors... made his second career start vs. East Carolina but suffered a high left ankle sprain on the final play of the first half and missed the rest of the season.

2000: Appeared in six games as the backup to Casey Printers... completed three-of-six passes for 11 yards with a pair of interceptions... also carried eight times for 20 yards.

1999: Played in two games... played late in games against Tulsa and North Texas... completed 3-of-4 passes for seven yards.

1998: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: Led the Lake Highlands Wildcats to the District 9-5A title and an 11-3 record in the 1997 seasons while earning District Player of the Year accolades... finished the campaign with 1,730 yards of total offense and accounted for 15 touchdowns for the Wildcats... as an option quarterback, utilized his 4.6 speed to average over six yards per carry as a senior... a first team All-Richardson performer... a member of Dave Campbell's Texas Top 300 Blue Chips... chose TCU over Arizona State, Kansas, Vanderbilt, Iowa and New Mexico.
