2002: Key component of a defensive line that helped the Frogs rank first in the country in both rushing and total defense... opened the season as the left defensive end... flipped to the right side beginning with game five to accommodate Bo Schobel... started 11-of-12 games despite playing with a hamstring injury for much of the season... ranked seventh on the squad with 47 tackles including 26 solo stops... was in on eight tackles for loss... recorded a season-high seven tackles against SMU... recovered a pair of fumbles and forced one fumble... forced a fumble and recovered another in the bowl win over Colorado State.

High School: A 1998 first team all-district selection at fullback and second team at defensive end... named to the Southeast Texas Super Gold Team... also received Southeast Texas Super Gold Team Defensive Player of the Year honors... a postseason All-America nominee by PrepStar magazine... named to the Texas Top 100 Magazine top recruits list... a finalist for the Willie Ray Smith Award (given to the top athlete in the Golden Triangle Area)... posted 249 tackles, 80 solos, 121 assists, 20 sacks and 28 for losses in three seasons... caused six fumbles and recovered eight... notched 30 solo tackles, 40 assisted, seven sacks and eight for losses as a senior... also played fullback... rushed for 525 yards on 75 carries and scored nine TDs... caught 12 passes for 223 yards and scored one TD... in his career, he rushed for 885 yards on 118 attempts and caught 22 passes for 318 yards... earned all-district honors in sophomore and junior seasons... coached by Al Rabb... selected TCU over Arkansas State, Northeast Louisiana and Iowa State.
