Started all 12 games at weak safety... finished fifth on the team with 65 tackles, including 52 solo stops... had six tackles behind the line of scrimmage, including a pair of sacks... tied for the team lead in fumbles caused with three... had a career-best nine tackles, all solos, in TCU's 24-0 win over Navy... had eight tackles against Rice.

High School:
As a high schooler at McGregor High School, Owens was all-everything... he earned all-district, all-Centex and all-area honors in football, basketball and baseball in his final three seasons... intercepted four passes as a senior, raising his career total to eight.
