Three-year letterman on the defensive line... came out of the spring in a second-team position behind Tommy Blake at right end... a versatile and athletic member of the TCU front... tied for seventh on the team among active players with 11 career starts... one of only two true freshmen to letter in 2003... also excels on special teams.

2005:
Totaled 19 tackles on the year with 3.5 sacks... saw action in all 12 contests... his 15-yard sack resulted in a fumble to set up TCU's go-ahead touchdown in the season-opening 17-10 win at Oklahoma (Sept. 3)... blocked a punt in addition to combining for a sack the next week at SMU (Sept. 10)... forced a fumble and had a sack in the 28-14 win at Wyoming (Oct. 8)... totaled a season-best three tackles in back-to-back wins over Utah (Sept. 15) and BYU (Sept. 24)... had a sack for a 7-yard loss in the regular-season finale with UNLV (Nov. 12)... assisted on a tackle in the EV1.net Houston Bowl win over Iowa State (Dec. 31).

2004:
Started all 11 games at left defensive end... tied for sixth on the team with 38 tackles, half of which were solo stops... had a pair of sacks and 4.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage overall... had a career-high 11 tackles against USF, including two for losses... recovered a fumble against the Bulls as well... had a key sack in the final minute at Army to help preserve the victory.

2003:
One of two true freshmen (along with Marcus Brock) to letter... played nine games behind Bo Schobel... saw his playing time increase significantly as the season progressed... logged 15 tackles, including eight solo stops... three of his tackles came behind the line of scrimmage... recovered one fumble.

High School:
Lettered three times in football and in track & field at Cleburne High... prep football coach was Gary Keithley... was the Defensive MVP in District 15-4A and earned honorable mention all-state honors on the defensive line... logged 67 tackles, including 10 sacks... forced four fumbles... also earned first team all-district accolades as an offensive tackle... served as team captain, helping Cleburne to its first playoff appearance in four years in 2002... earned second team academic all-state recognition... ranked on the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Area 75 list... recorded 82 tackles and caught six passes as a junior, earning all-district honors at both tight end and defensive end... also was an all-district performer as a sophomore offensive tackle... graduated in the top 10 percent of his class... was an FCA leader... chose TCU over Kansas, Missouri, Purdue, Rice and SMU.
