High School: Earned all-district honors three times as a defensive end, once at running back (2002) and once at tight end (2003) for head coach Paul Talbert at Comfort High... lettered four times in football, baseball and track & field and three times in basketball... was the District 26-2A Offensive Player of the Year and a first team all-state pick in 2003... was an all-district catcher in baseball and a district champion in the shot and discus... was the state shot put champion and finished sixth in the discus as a junior.
