2007 Outland Trophy Award Watch List

2006: A second-team All-Mountain West Conference selection... started all 13 games, representing all his collegiate starts... allowed just one sack on the year... his 40 knockdown blocks placed second on the team... totaled a season-best 10 knockdowns at UNLV... opened the year with back-to-back games of six knockdown blocks in victories over Baylor and UC Davis... also had six knockdowns at Colorado State... had four knockdown blocks in the 26-3 win over Wyoming.

2005: Appeared in 10 games.

2004: Moved to defensive tackle for a couple of days early in the 2004 fall camp but was switched back to the offensive side of the ball... a wrist injury kept him out of spring drills.

2003: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: Team captain and MVP of his squad as a senior... earned first team all-state and all-Greater San Antonio distinction as an offensive lineman... also a first team all-district selection at both offensive and defensive tackle... helped Comfort go 12-2 and reach the state quarterfinals... they averaged 346 yards rushing per game... was an all-district nose guard in 2000... turned down New Mexico to commit to the Frogs.
