High School: Second-team all-district as a senior in his first year of playing football... a first-team all-state selection in basketball... was also the 5A District Most Valuable Player in that sport... lettered once in football and four times in basketball... also lettered in baseball and tennis.

Personal: Parents are Scott and Becky Kirkpatrick... Scott played basketball at Navarro College from 1975-77... pursuing a degree in business.
