ABOUT THE GAME

• TCU and Tulane will battle on the hardwood for the 14th time with the Horned Frogs owning a 7-6 edge over the Green Wave.

• Having played Tulane in home-and-home series the past four years while a member of Conference USA, TCU will meet the Green Wave only once in 2004-05.

• Wednesday's matchup between the two teams will be the third televised game, but showcased nationally for the second time within a week for the Horned Frogs.

• Texas A&M University has been a second home to six Tulane athletic programs, including the men's basketball team, since the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in September.

• It will be the first time ever TCU steps foot in College Station to play a team other Texas A&M. The last time the Frogs came to College Station was back in 1995-96, the last year of the Southwest Conference. TCU is 31-43 all-time in Aggieland.

• TCU is the third of four home games for Tulane being played at A&M's Reed Arena this year. The Green Wave will return to New Orleans prior to Christmas after they wrap up final home game against St. Edwards in College Station on Dec. 19.

• The Frogs are 5-3 against their former conference foe the Green Wave in the last four seasons. It will also be the second game in the series played at a site other than Fort Worth or New Orleans. The two teams met on the court in Albuquerque, N.M., where Tulane slipped past TCU 82-80 on Dec. 29, 1965.

• A former member of Conference USA, the Horned Frogs trail 222-277 against current members of the league. The last meeting with a C-USA team occurred Mar. 5, 2005, when TCU dropped a 66-64 decision to Southern Miss in Hattiesburg.

• Green Wave head coach Dave Dickerson is in his first season at the helm of the Tulane program. He is one of three new head coaches in Conference USA this year, which also includes Ricky Stokes at East Carolina and Tulsa's Doug Wojcik.

• TCU's Neil Dougherty and Dave Dickerson of Tulane will face each other for the third time. Most recently, the two met in last year's NIT quarterfinals where the Horned Frogs fell at Maryland. Prior to that meeting, the two were assistant coaches with Dougherty at Kansas for eight years (1995-2002) and Dickerson for nine (19996-2005)at Maryland.

• During Dougherty and Dickerson's respective tenures as assistants, Kansas and Maryland played only twice with the Terrapins winning both contests - an 86-83 win on Dec. 7, 1997 in Washington, D.C., and a 97-88 victory in the 2002 NCAA Final Four in Atlanta, Ga., to advance to the national title game.
