TCU Announces Basketball Schedule Changes
Oct. 13, 2003 FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's basketball office has announced several changes to the 2003-04 schedule, according to TCU Head Coach Neil Dougherty. The highlight is an additional national television appearance for the Horned Frogs. The TCU/Louisville game originally set for Wednesday, Feb. 18, has moved up a day to Tuesday, Feb. 17 in order to accommodate a national ESPN2 broadcast. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. (CT). The Horned Frogs' other national television appearance is slated for Monday, Dec. 1 vs. Kansas. That game will get underway at 10:00 p.m. (CT). "We're excited to be able to showcase TCU and Fort Worth to national television audiences against two traditional basketball powerhouses in Kansas and Louisville," Dougherty said. Another Conference USA game involving TCU also changed dates. The Horned Frogs will now host Southern Miss at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, instead of on Saturday, Feb. 7. In addition, due to scheduling conflicts for both schools, TCU and SMU have mutually agreed to postpone this year's meeting. The rivalry will resume during the 2004-05 season. The Horned Frogs begin the season with an exhibition game against Interhoop on Friday, Nov. 7. Tip time for that game has moved to 7:30 p.m. (CT). The updated schedule is attached.
