FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head coach Neil Dougherty announced today that a pair of Horned Frog basketball players, junior James Davis and sophomore Brian Carter, have elected to transfer from TCU.

Davis, a 6-4, 190-pound guard, played two seasons with the Horned Frogs. He appeared in 46 games, averaging 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds over that time. Davis posted 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds per game as a freshman. In his first season, he played in 25 games, making 10 starts, and had a career-high 19 points against Arkansas-Monticello. As a sophomore in 2002-03, the Detroit, Mich., product saw action in 21 games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.9 rebounds.

Carter, a 6-10, 205-pound center, played in 17 games this past season after sitting out the 2001-02 season as a redshirt. The native of Rockwood, Mich., averaged 0.8 points and 0.8 rebounds per contest. Carter scored a career-high four points against 15th-ranked Louisville. He played a total of 68 minutes on the year.
