Kevin Langford (Fort Worth, Texas/North Crowley H.S.) and Brent Hackett (Fort Worth, Texas/Southwest H.S.) represented the TCU men's basketball program for the second straight season with All-Mountain West Conference accolades that were released on Monday (Mar. 10).

Langford - who earned honorable mention laurels in 2006-07 - was selected as an All-Mountain West Conference third team member for the first time in his career while Hackett was selected as an honorable mention pick for the second consecutive season.

For the second consecutive season, Langford has been one of the Frogs' top all-around players as the Fort Worth native ranked second on the team in scoring average (13.1 points per game) and led the Purple and White in free throws made (139), free throw attempts (192) and free throw percentage (72.4 percent). During his two-year career, Langford has attempted 429 free throws - which ranks him seventh in the TCU all-time record books.

The TCU forward was selected as the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week on December 24th after averaging 24.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game in a pair of victories for the Frogs. Langford scored a career-high 31 points against Prairie View A&M and became the first player since Junior Blunt during the 2001-02 season to score 30 or more points in a game.

Langford notched a double-digit scoring performance in 23 of 29 game this season - including a Mountain West Conference-high 22 consecutive games before the streak was snapped on the road at the University of New Mexico on February 16th. The TCU forward received his degree in sociology with a minor in criminal justice this past December.

Hackett etched his name in the TCU record books as he became the 28th player in program history to record over 1,000 points for the Purple and White and ranks 21st in the all-time listings with 1,077 career points. The TCU guard is also ranked fifth in the all-time record books in three-point field goals made (184) and three-point field goal attempts (559) and seventh in career steals (123).

The Fort Worth talent has appeared in 121 games for the Frogs and has earned a spot in the starting lineup on 87 occasions - missing only four starts in the last three seasons. Hackett has been one of the top offensive scoring threats for the Frogs during his career as he has notched 10 or more points in 53 career games - including 17 games during his senior campaign.

The Frogs will be back in action at the Mountain West Conference Tournament on Thursday (Mar. 13) when the Purple and White squares-off against the second-seed UNLV at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 CST between the Frogs and Runnin' Rebels.
