Horned Frogs Host Cougars Saturday Night
Jan. 31, 2003
The TCU Horned Frogs (7-11, 1-5 C-USA) look to get back on track on Saturday night when they take on the Houston Cougars (5-11, 3-2) at 7:05 (CT) at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. TCU has lost two straight and six of its last seven games. However, five of those seven contests took place on the road, including two against top-15 teams. TCU is 5-3 at home this season, while Houston is 0-6 on the road. The Frogs and Cougars play different styles of basketball, as TCU ranks second in Conference USA at 80.1 points per game, while Houston scores just 60.2 points per outing, the fewest in the league. TCU trails the all-time series 40-23, but won the most recent meeting by an 87-69 count on Feb. 9, 2002, in Fort Worth.
