TCU and CSU have played three common opponents so far this season - Colorado, San Diego State and New Mexico. The Frogs are 0-3 against those three teams, while the Rams defeated Colorado on Nov. 21 but lost to SDSU and New Mexico two weeks ago. TCU seeks its first Mountain West Conference win of the season, while Colorado State looks to pick up its first conference road victory this year. In his sixth year as the Rams' head coach, Dale Layer will be serving as a special guest speaker at this year's annual Visiting Coaches' Luncheon Series at noon on game day. Layer led CSU to the 2003 NCAA Tournament in his third season at the helm of the program. There are striking similarities between the families of head coaches Neil Dougherty and Dale Layer. While both have three children (two sons and one daughter), the eldest sons are a member of their dad's basketball team. Neil Patrick is a junior guard on the Horned Frog squad, while Tim is a freshman guard at CSU who will redshirt the 2005-06 season. LAST TIME OUT: San Diego State 76, at TCU 57 Nile Murry paced the Horned Frogs with 16 points on the night, scoring in double figures for the 16th time this year. He has led the team in total points 11 times this season. Judson Stubbs finished with 13 points, Chudi Chinweze added 12, and Brent Hackett had 10. TCU forced its opponents into 20 or more turnovers for the eighth time this year as San Diego State tied a season high with 24 miscues. All 12 TCU players saw action for the second consecutive game. The loss to San Diego State marks the fifth time the Frogs have fallen by double figures in 14 defeats this season. TCU still holds a 3-1 advantage in its all-time series against the Aztecs.
