The TCU men's basketball team returned to its winnings ways as the Horned Frogs' defense surrendered 10 second-half points en route to securing a 62-37 victory over Colgate at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on Tuesday (Dec. 30).

After trailing 27-26 heading into intermission - TCU forced the Raiders to shoot 4-of-21 (19.0 percent) in the final half of action, including 0-of-5 from behind the three-point line. The 10 points allowed in the second half were the second-lowest tally in program history and tied for the lowest total in the second half of action with East Texas State during the 1983-84 season.

The Frogs outscored the Raiders by a 36-10 margin over the final 20 minutes of action and held a 29-4 advantage in second half points over the first 15 minutes of the frame. The Frogs connected on 52.4 percent (11-of-21) of their field goal attempts, including 86.7 percent (13-of-15) of their free throw tries during the final frame.

Kevin Langford (Fort Worth, Texas | University of California) collected his first double-double of the season as the TCU forward notched 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds in 31 minutes of court time. The Fort Worth product connected on 6-of-7 from the charity stripe while collecting one assist and a blocked shot in the game.

After coming off a career-high 20 points in his last outing - Ronnie Moss (Fort Worth, Texas | Christian Life Academy) nearly equaled his offensive output as the Fort Worth talent collected 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go along with five rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes of action.

Zvonko Buljan (Split, Croatia | Vincennes University) and Edvinas Ruzgas (Vilnius, Lithuania | Weatherford College) both added eight points while Kevin Butler (Duncanville, Texas | Duncanville H.S.) grabbed seven boards to aid the Frogs.

The Frogs snapped a two-game losing skid and improved their record to 8-5 overall while Colgate dropped to 3-8 on the 2008-09 campaign.

TCU will return to action on Saturday (Jan. 3) when the Frogs begins Mountain West Conference action against Colorado State at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. Game time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
