Box Score

Fort Worth - Corey Santee was one of four TCU players to score in double figures Saturday as the Frogs defeated Lenoir-Rhyne, 93-55 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Frogs improve to 6-3 this season, while Lenoir-Rhyne drops to 1-8.

Santee, who scored 17 points, helped TCU build a 27-point lead at the half. The Frogs shot a blistering 59.4% in the opening half as they jumped out to a 53-26 lead. Twelve of Santee's 17 points came in the first half. Jamal Brown narrowly missed a double-double as he scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Brown converted 10-of-12 free throws on the evening.

As a team, TCU hit 22-of-31 shots from the charity stripe, while Lenoir-Rhyne hit only 8-of-12 free throws. The Frogs hit a total of nine three-pointers, including three each by Santee and Junior Blount.

The TCU bench contributed 38 points in the contest as 11 of the 12 Frogs that played scored a basket. James Davis came off the bench to score 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting, while Nucleus Smith added nine points and six assists. Ten of the 12 Frogs played at least 11 minutes in the game.

"I didn't like our attitude tonight," said head coach Billy Tubbs. "This was a hard game to play. I do not know if it was getting ready for finals or what. We played a lot of players tonight, and I thought we had some guys give us some good minutes off the bench. I thought James Davis and Rebel Paulk played well, plus I noticed that Nucleus Smith was not limping. Hopefully by next Saturday, he will be 100 percent."

Randy Mauldin led the Bears with 12 points.

TCU will return to action on Saturday, December 15, when they host Texas-San Antonio in a non-conference game.
