Horned Frogs Come From Behind To Defeat Bears, 72-64

WACO, Texas (AP) - TCU's Junior Blount hit two 3-pointers and Corey Santee added another to spark a late 17-2 run as the Horned Frogs came back to beat Baylor 72-64 on Saturday night.

The barrage gave TCU (3-2) a 67-55 lead with 3:52 remaining.

Baylor (4-1) led 53-50 before Blount and Santee put TCU up 59-55 with about eight minutes left.

The Bears closed to 68-64 with a little under two minutes left, but Blount and Jamal Brown connected on four straight free throws in the final seconds.

Chudi Chinweze led the Horned Frogs with 14 points, and Brown had 11 points and 18 rebounds. Blount added 12 points and Santee had 11.

TCU led 35-30 at the half, but Baylor opened the second period with an 11-2 run and regained the lead 41-37.

TCU outrebounded Baylor 53-29.

Lawrence Roberts paced Baylor with 14 points, Kenny Taylor had 11 and John Lucas 10.
