Final Stats

LAS VEGAS (AP) - UNLV's Wink Adams and Joe Darger each had a game-high 15 points Saturday afternoon to lead the Rebels past TCU 74-55.

UNLV (22-6, 11-3 Mountain West Conference) went on a 12-4 run in the opening four minutes of the second half to take a double digit lead. Darger and Curtis Terry keyed the rally with 3-pointers and the Rebels led by double digits the rest of the game.

Rene Rougeau added 14 points and six rebounds for UNLV, while Corey Bailey had points 10 and Terry added nine. It was the Rebels' fifth win in their last six contests.

Trailing 12-10, the Rebels took the lead for good midway through the first half with a 7-1 run. Adams started the rally with a pair of 3-pointers and Darger added four straight points.

TCU (14-13, 6-8) trailed by as many of seven in the half, but hit a trio of 3-pointers in the final four minutes to cut the deficit to 31-28 at the break. But the Horned Frogs couldn't overcome shooting 31-percent from the field, including 1-of-13 from guard Brent Hackett who is the team's third leading scorer.

Kevin Langford led TCU with 10 points, the lone Horned Frog to score in double figures.

John Ortiz had a game-high 12 rebounds.
