FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Drake Diener scored 12 points and Marcus Heard added 10 as DePaul beat TCU 61-54 Tuesday night.

DePaul (10-6, 3-2 Conference USA) led 31-26 at halftime. Cory Santee scored a layup with 16:55 remaining in the game to cut DePaul's lead to 35-33. DePaul then went on a 7-0 run, fueled by a 3-pointer and a steal by Sammy Mejia, to take a 42-33 lead and TCU (6-10, 2-3) didn't threaten again.

TCU had its only lead of the game, 5-4, when Nucleus Smith hit a 3-pointer at the 18:29 mark of the first half. DePaul then outscored the Horned Frogs 15-3 over the next eight minutes to take a 19-8 lead.

Marcus Shropshire had 15 points to lead the Horned Frogs, Santee added 12 points and had six assists and Smith added 10 points.
