Thomas Montigel served as a reserve guard for TCU during his junior season, appearing in 17 games with one start ... played in six Big 12 contests ... made his first career start during the Nov. 29 win against Southern Utah, setting personal bests in points (five) and minutes played (28) and matching a previous high in rebounds (three) ... hit his third career 3-pointer against the Thunderbirds ... appeared in TCU's season opener vs. Cal Poly (Nov. 9), recording a rebound and assist in his only minute of action ... played what was then a career-high 12 minutes against Centenary (Nov. 12) ... made his first Big 12 game appearance during the home loss to No. 16 Kansas State (Jan. 16) ... recorded his first career steal during the setback at Oklahoma (Feb. 11) ... grabbed a rebound at No. 9 Kansas (Feb. 23).
2011-12 | SOPHOMORE SEASON Montigel appeared in five contests, including the first conference game of his career, during his second season in the TCU program ... tallied two points on a layup at the end of regulation during his only minute of play at San Diego State (Feb. 4) ... made his season debut at home Nov. 14 against Austin College, totaling a career highs of six points, including his first 3-pointer, and three rebounds in six minutes of game play ... knocked down a three-pointer against Grambling State (Dec. 22) ... also saw action against UT-Pan American (Jan. 11) and in the season-ending CBI quarterfinal loss at Oregon State (March 19).
2010-11 | FRESHMAN SEASON Montigel saw limited action as a freshman in his first season at TCU ... appeared in three games: Nov. 12 vs. Jackson State, Nov. 27 vs. Houston and Dec. 28 vs. Chicago State ... played a career-high two minutes against Chicago State.
PREP CAREER
Montigel arrived at TCU after playing for neighboring Paschal High School ... garnered second-team all-district accolades during his senior campaign ... averaged 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game in his final season ... earned honorable mention all-district laurels as a junior ... named academic all-district in each of his final two prep seasons ... earned five letters during his prep career with the Panthers, three in golf and two in basketball.
